Unit Tier List Hub

Anime Ascendants is a live Roblox tower-defense game, not a closed test. You place parody anime units on a lane, upgrade them between waves, and hold bosses with up to sixteen players in an online lobby on desktop or mobile. A single “best unit” graphic fails that job. Story maps, raids, infinite, and legend stages punish different mistakes, so this hub ranks by role and mode instead of by thumbnail hype.

Ranking philosophy

We score a unit on four questions. Can it clear story without draining your gem stash? Can it punch raid bosses and shield gates? Can it scale when infinite waves stop being polite? Can it survive legend acts that demand a specific kit? Raw damage per second matters, but so do placement cost, upgrade curve, area-of-effect shape, and whether you can even obtain the unit this week.

Story rewards cheap coverage. Early maps leak if you wait for a secret; they do not leak if you plant a full-board legendary and a farm unit. Raids flip the table: boss health and burst windows matter more than spraying trash. Infinite is an economy test dressed as a damage check—if cash arrives late, your carry sits underleveled when the spike hits. Legend stages mix both, often locking evolutions and event items behind acts.

Treat every rank as a snapshot. Event banners, raid shops, and Update 2-style kits move names up without rewriting the base roster. When a unit is labeled shifting, it is strong while its event or raid is live, not a promise that it stays at the top after the window closes.

DPS, farm, and support are different ladders

Damage dealers occupy most of the public arguments, and they should: the units tier list is why raids die. Farm units exist so those dealers reach their last upgrades before the boss spawn. Support units exist so the dealer’s number is not the only number on the board.

  • DPS — line nukes, full-board splash, and raid burst. Invest premium traits here first.
  • Farm — extra cash per wave. Bolma and Senko belong on long maps even when their personal damage looks average.
  • Support — ally damage, burns, money amps, hybrid rolls. Orwin’s roughly 30–35% ally damage buff is a multiplier, not a sidegrade.

Do not park your only Ascendant trait on a farmer. Do not skip a farm slot because a clip showed four damage dealers and a leak-free thumbnail. The best units page explains the carries; the farm page explains why those carries can afford their last upgrade.

Units board versus traits board

Open the units list when you are choosing who to summon, evolve, or replace. Open the traits tier list when you are spending Magic Tokens. A weaker body with a lucky Ascendant still loses to a high-tier body with Godspeed, because placement limits and attack shape do not come from the trait.

Use both lists together:

  1. Pick the mode (story clear, raid farm, infinite push, legend act).
  2. Pick the jobs (one farm, one support, one or two damage dealers).
  3. Match traits to those jobs—Golden on farm, Supernova on support, Ascendant or Singularity on the carry.
  4. Lock the squad in the team builder so the next lobby is repeatable.

Beginners should rush accessible mythics (Hosino, Megomu) and the legendary crutches (Touci, Orwin) before chasing every secret name on a thumbnail. The units page calls that the beginner rush for a reason: it beats a board full of starter leftovers.

How to read a rank without fighting the comments

S+ means the unit defines late-game clears while you can obtain it. S means you should build around it if it drops. A is how you actually beat story and support harder modes. B is a respectable beginner or legendary. C and D are replacements waiting to happen. Event names such as Itadori (Final Vessel), Maka (Revenge), Megumin & Mahoraga, Guts, Griffith, Skeleton Knight, Charmi (Love), Assassin, Homura Time Traveler, and the Madoka secret sit in a shifting band—use them hard while they are in the client, then re-check this hub after the banner.

If two units share a tier, break the tie with obtainment and area coverage. A full-board summon you already own beats a raid-only burst unit you cannot farm this afternoon. That is also why farm and support sit high: they make the damage you already have look expensive in the good way.

When a patch lands, reread this hub in a fixed order. Confirm the mode you actually play tonight, check who climbed on the units board, then confirm what glue belongs on that carry on the traits board. Finish by parking the squad in the team builder so the next sixteen-player lobby is a plan, not a scramble at the placement cap.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for codes, traits, summons, and story progress.

Is this a single list for every mode?

No. Story wants cheap coverage, raids want boss burst, infinite wants farm plus scaling damage, and legend acts often want a specific evolved kit. Start on this hub, then open the units and traits boards for the mode you are playing.

Should farm units be ranked with damage dealers?

Rank them on a separate ladder. Bolma and Senko rarely win a damage screenshot, but they buy the upgrades that do. See the farm and support guide for placement order.

Where do I put my best trait?

On the carry you already evolved, not on a random high rarity. Confirm the unit on the units list, then spend tokens with the traits list and the trait planner.

Do event units stay S+ forever?

Treat them as shifting. If a raid shop or limited banner is live, play them; when the window closes, re-read this hub instead of assuming the screenshot is still the meta.
