Anime Ascendants Guides

Lobby, story, summons, traits, and evolution mapped in one place.

Guides Hub

Anime Ascendants is a live Roblox tower defense (the same experience that used to ship as Special Anime Defense). You join a public server with up to 16 players, walk the lobby on desktop or mobile, then queue into story, legend stages, raids, infinite, trivia, and limited challenges. This hub is the map of that loop. Read it once, then open the subguide that matches the wall you are hitting.

If you just installed the experience, start with the Getting Started walkthrough. That page covers the first hour: Roblox group rewards, the Naruto codes NPC, the 50-gem summon, farm versus support slots, and why you should not spray gems across random banners. Come back here when that hour is done and you need a mode, an evolution, or a trait plan instead of another beginner checklist.

How this wiki is split

The core subguides under this hub still answer four different questions. Getting Started is the lobby and day-one route. Story Mode compares story, legend stages, infinite, trivia, raids, and challenges, including first-clear gem bonuses and why you rush early chapters. How to Evolve Units is the meta gate: Itadoki into Sukuno, Cursed Academy crystals, raid and event units, and which starters you should stop feeding. How to Reroll Traits is Miki, Magic Tokens, the 17-trait table, and which trait belongs on DPS, farm, and support.

Four extra pages sit under the same hub for questions that used to live inside those articles. Controls is the bind sheet: WASD, Space, E, mobile sticks, camera, 1.5×/2× speed, auto ability, and the codes button versus the NPC. Trivia is the ten-question lobby quiz, the Restart button, and the reported answer list. Infinite Mode is the wave-1 farm, the wave-50 DPS check, and why a weak roster makes macros leak. How to Get Gems is the currency map: codes, first-clears, raids, legend, trivia, dailies, the group, and the 50-gem summon.

Three more dedicated pages now sit next to those extras. Raids is UT for Yuto, Berserk Seals, Skeleton Knight acts, shops versus drops, and why raids beat infinite for tokens. How to Summon is the 50-gem room, limited 0.01% banners, and Magic Tokens versus Gems. Portals is clock fragments, Homura, Grief Seeds, and the two portal apology codes.

Two more pages close holes that used to live inside those articles. Challenges is the daily / weekly / 30-minute repeat board, including kill quests for evolutions. How to Get Magic Tokens is the Miki faucet: raids first, then codes, trivia, and challenges. The Mage Pass exclusive Free Ren sits under Units, not under this hub.

Outside this category you will still need three other hubs. Working codes and the how to redeem steps fund the first summons. The units tier list and best units pages tell you who is worth the gem. Farm and support is the Bolma / Senko / Orwin slot that every long mode still uses.

Lobby first, then a mode

The lobby is not flavor. Codes, summons, and traits all live on the same plaza. After you spawn, look for the codes NPC (Naruto in most layouts), then walk into the Summon room. Immediately after you enter that room, turn right for Miki under the orange Traits sign. Press E to interact, the same key you use on every other NPC. Movement is WASD, jump is Space, and those binds work on desktop; mobile uses on-screen sticks and buttons for the same actions. Servers are online 16-player instances, so you will see other people rolling, trading advice, and queuing—the combat itself is still your loadout versus waves.

Once you can walk the plaza without getting lost, pick a mode with intent. Story is the unlock tree. Legend stages are the evolution farm. Raids and challenges pay Magic Tokens and event items. Infinite is a wave-scaling DPS check. Trivia is a short quiz that prints extra tokens and cubes if you know the answers. Do not treat those five queues as the same grind. The story mode guide spells out the difference, including why a farm unit belongs on wave 1 and why line AoE and full AoE are not interchangeable.

Summons, traits, and evolution are one pipeline

New accounts feel poor because they try to solve all three systems at once. The pipeline is linear. Summon a small roster on the 50-gem banner. Keep one farm unit and one support. Push story until raids open. Spend Magic Tokens on the units you will actually evolve, then reroll traits on those same units. Evolution is what turns a decent mythic into a raid carry—Sukuno is the obvious example, a line-AoE nuke you get by evolving Itadoki rather than by winning a lucky Secret on day one. The evolution guide lists obtainment for Sukuno, Yuto, Itochi, Free Ren, Guts, Griffith, and the Skeleton Knight path so you do not feed Niruto Kid, Goko, or Luffo while those materials sit in the inventory.

Traits sit on top of that pipeline. A Golden Bolma farms faster. An Ascendant or Singularity carry deletes bosses. A Supernova Orwin covers more of the path with the damage buff. Putting Ascendant on a support is a common waste because those traits cap placements. Use the trait planner before you dump tokens, and read the reroll guide so you know Magic Tokens are the trait currency—Stat Cubes and Perfect Stat Cubes are a different roll.

A practical learning order

Use this order unless an event forces you off it:

  1. Join the Anime Ascendants Roblox group, redeem every live code, finish the tutorial.
  2. Clear early story chapters. Bank first-clear gems. Do not buy every banner you see.
  3. Lock a farm unit (Bolma or Senko) and a support (Orwin). Add Hosino or Megomu if a mythic drops; Touci or Orwin if a legendary is your best DPS.
  4. Unlock raids for Magic Tokens. Run trivia when you have a few minutes.
  5. Farm the legend stage that drops your next evolution item. Evolve before you 5-star a dead starter.
  6. Reroll traits only on the units that survived steps 3–5.
  7. Rebuild the squad in the team builder when you swap a carry.

Events can jump the queue. When a banner or raid is live, read updates and the events page before you spend the gem stash you were saving for Chapter 3. Limited units such as Itochi, Guts, and Griffith are not always in the standard 50-gem pool, and their evolution items often sit in a raid shop rather than in story chests.

Tools, lists, and official boards

Guides tell you the route. Lists tell you the current ranking. After you have a farm, a support, and a carry, cross-check them on the tier list hub and the traits tier list. If you want a second opinion on who to raise next, the players hub splits DPS from farm and support. For patch notes and Trello rows that change drop tables, keep Trello and Discord bookmarked from the links hub. Scripts and macros are optional quality-of-life, not a substitute for a real loadout—see scripts, auto farm, and macros only after the account can clear story without help.

Expired codes still matter as a history check when a YouTube video recites an old string. The expired codes list keeps you from standing at Naruto for nothing.

Use this hub as a map, not as a single article you reread forever. Pick one mode, one unit, and one trait goal, then rotate the subguides until the lobby is just a room you walk through on the way to the next clear.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for codes, traits, summons, and story progress.

Which guide should I open first?

New accounts should start with Getting Started. If you already have a roster and are stuck on a stage, open Story Mode. If you have a mythic that still feels weak, you probably need evolution or a trait reroll.

Is Anime Ascendants still the same game as Special Anime Defense?

Yes. It is the live Roblox tower defense that was rebranded. Public servers hold up to 16 players and you can play on desktop or mobile.

Do I need codes, a tier list, and these guides?

Codes buy the first summons. Guides tell you where to walk and what to feed. The units tier list tells you which names are worth the feed. Use all three; none of them replace the others.

Where do I plan traits and teams without guessing?

Use the trait planner and the team builder, then confirm rankings on the traits tier list and best units pages.

What is the difference between story, legend stages, and raids?

Story unlocks the rest of the game and pays first-clear gems. Legend stages drop evolution items and crystal stones. Raids and challenges are the main Magic Token and event-item sinks. The story mode guide compares them in full, including infinite and trivia.
